Welcome
ASSET, the advanced school self-evaluation toolkit, provides
school leaders with a highly incisive, sophisticated, but very user
friendly mechanism to measure school effectiveness. It relates
seamlessly of the current Ofsted Inspection Schedule and the SEF,
and is accompanied by training support resources for every aspect
of school improvement. These resources can be used to train or
raise awareness for staff and governors in areas for example such
as Safeguarding and Community Cohesion. It is also a toolkit
which can be used very flexibly, either by working systematically
section by section or by selecting individual descriptors. It
identifies evidence trails, areas for action, and helps to provide
school leaders with an accurate judgement of their effectiveness in
any area of evaluation at any given time. Finally, and
most importantly, the interactivity of the toolkit includes a
report writing facility which draws required actions identified in
the school's self evaluation, into a focussed, coherent
improvement planning format.
